Self Catering Accommodation in Scotland

Accessibility Guide

We hope the following description will be helpful when considering whether Sea Loch House suits your access requirements.

The house was designed to meet the needs of mobility-impaired guests by providing an accessible double bedroom with ensuite shower room on the main living floor.  There is also level access to the kitchen, dining room, sitting room, conservatory, snug, laundry room and separate wc.

On arrival, there is parking for three cars at the front of the house and one at the rear of the house. The front door is on the lower level and leads to a spacious hall with a staircase leading up a full storey to the main living floor. If stairs are difficult, from the parking space at the rear there is paving and a timber decked pathway providing step-free access to the rear door. The rear door opens into a lobby then to the main floor accommodation which is entirely level apart from two steps down to the exterior balcony.

The large dining room has plenty of space around the table and is open plan through to the spacious kitchen. The sitting room is accessed through double doors directly off the dining room, and the conservatory opens off the sitting room, also with double doors. All other doorways have a standard clear opening width.

Both the accessible ground floor bedroom and its level-access ensuite shower room provide space for wheelchair access in line with current regulations. The ensuite also has a second door to the main landing area for ease of access. A shower stool and raised toilet seat are available on request.

Please also refer to the Floor Plans for more information on the layout of the house.

We understand that clear information is essential for our guests. We hope the information above is sufficient but please contact us if you would like to know any more details about the house.
