A welcoming house for large groups
Sea Loch House sleeps up to ten people including children over the age of eight. The house offers beautifully designed, open plan and accessible accommodation – an ideal place for a gathering of friends or a multi-generational family. It is generously equipped and for comfort we have indulged our love of Scottish lambswool curtains and classic furniture designs.
The front door is on the lower floor in an open covered porch with bench seating. Inside the large entrance hallway has a staircase leading up to the main level with all the living areas and one accessible bedroom.
The main floor has a second entrance door at the rear which opens into the landing and then the open plan dining room with spectacular views – on a clear day you can see the top of Ben Nevis to the north. The table seats eight but can extend easily for a larger group. The very well-equipped kitchen has everything we think you will need for a good cook up as well the best view that you are ever likely to enjoy when washing up! From the side window you see up to the Mamore hills.
The spacious dual aspect living room has Danish design seating, classic Eames leather chairs and good quality reading lights and a TV. You are welcome to borrow books and maps from the large bookcase. The conservatory and balcony are both great spots to enjoy the evening sun as it sets from May to August in the dip in the hills at Loch Sunart.
The double bedroom on this floor overlooks birch trees and has a level access ensuite shower room suitable for mobility-impaired guests. The separate cosy ‘snug’ is a quiet space for reading or an alternative room to watch TV. There is also a laundry room with a chest freezer, and a separate WC.
There are four very comfortable bedrooms upstairs – the king size room with ensuite bathroom has open views across the loch, and the double room looks up to the hills behind the house. The latter shares a shower room with a twin bedroom which can also double up as a study if you need to bring some work with you. Finally, the master suite is a very spacious super-king room that includes a walk-in wardrobe and a very special bathroom – with a bath with a view!
Sea Loch House sits within an acre of hillside with mature trees offering great privacy. We have landscaped some areas in a wild garden style to encourage the abundant bird life to visit. There is a small area of grass but, being a west coast garden on a hill, it is not suitable for many ball games!
There is plenty of parking for up to four cars.
WIFI is provided. A shower stool and raised WC seat are available if requested at the time of booking.
For the comfort of all guests, we do not allow pets or smoking.
